About the Science Blog

I am a biologist-turned-computer scientist, still learning how to become a computer scientist. I am no expert programmer yet, but I always try to learn how to do things better and I welcome any and all suggestions.

This blog is one part helpful technical tidbits, and one part science outreach.

I have noticed that a variety of scientists are hesitant to pick up coding, and that there is sometimes a disregard for experimentalists by computer scientists. I hope to help bridge that gap and show both groups of people that a) we’re on the same side, and b) research gets way more fun when you belong in both groups.
